This short book is well-written and gets straight to the point every time. I found the section on Trading Strategies to be helpful as it describes several different strategies without a lot of jargon. Each strategy is accompanied by guidelines on when and how to use it. There is also an excellent section on the Trader Life Cycle, where the author provides very practical advice on how to put together various trading components, how to build up experience (and ultimately profits) while also managing risk. The book is probably not for people who are looking for a deeply theoretical analysis of options trading, but as an introduction or a refresher it is going to be useful.Product details

Basic concepts only with some links to other resources to get the rest of the story. Pretty good glossary. 3 stars.
Lots of anecdotal information, plus some dictionary terms and definitions pulled off the internet. Save yourself the 2.99 and just do some internet research yourself. Basic premise if you study and have discipline, you can make a living by trading options, but it takes time and experience... you have to expect a loss here or there and be smart to not put all your eggs in one trade.
A very basic overview of markets. Some minor mistakes that I noticed were in the loss potential. Selling a put does not have unlimited loss. The author needs more detailed information about the trades involved and a better explanation of the Greeks.
Good read.
Too basic and boring. Same stuff you can find on a simple internet search
To me, this book is poorly written with numerous spelling and punctuation errors which made the book difficult to read. As i finished the book I had the sense that this writer was a natural at hedging trades because nearly every statement was hedged with a "but" or "however" followed by a contradicting statement. In my opinion the author had many good warnings for the wannabe options trader but I disagree with some of his suggested strategies being considered conservative.
I was disappointed that the book did not treat the matter the way I was expecting. I was hoping it would give insight into how professional traders work. Instead it was telling the beginner what was involved in trading and probably has some useful information for someone who is just starting in options and wondering if they can make it. It did not contain the one piece of advice that I feel is most important "paper trade every day for at least 2 years without investing one real dollar, and try out a bunch of different approaches and indicators, etc. Track your progress and always ask, why did that result happen. Only after that time will you be ready to consider trading for a living." As I said it did not in fact say this and thus I feel it, like many other books of this nature, may give vulnerable people false expectations.
